Highlights of FVAM's Students Experiences:

During the school year, students take field trips to extend their classroom experiences  and  promote each student's independence.  Students reinforce many concepts covered in the classroom which brings learning to life through hands-on experiences, experiential learning and demonstrations by members of many organizations throughout the community.  Trips include, The Institute Of American Indian Studies, Winding Trails, Stanley Whitman House, New Britain Museuem of American Art, Watsworth Museum, Hartford Symphony, Theatreworks and more.

The Lower Elementary classroom end their school year with a overnight trip to Camp Jewell.  This experience builds independence, teamwork and enables the students to learn and enjoy the wonders and value of nature.
